DiscountHero is deliberately transparent: every intervention is logged, and the dashboard shows you conservatively what the app earns you.
The Activity Log
The Activity Log lists every checkout where a discount was removed:
- Checkout ID and timestamp
- Status (cancelled / completed)
- Checkout total
- Discount savings (the removed discount value)
- The removed discount code
- Removal criteria
- Duplicate check details (why the customer was identified as not eligible)
Use it to spot-check individual cases and to see at a glance how much discount value the app protects.
How the dashboard numbers are calculated
Two numbers matter, and they answer different questions:
- Additional revenue (gross): the discount value that was blocked while the customer still completed the purchase, in other words the revenue you rescued.
- ROI (net): the profit per euro of app cost, calculated conservatively. It starts from the rescued revenue, then SUBTRACTS the estimated lost profit from customers who abandoned the checkout after their code was removed (lost revenue times conversion rate times estimated margin), and subtracts the app costs. What remains, divided by the app costs, is your ROI.
So the ROI figure already accounts for the downside (abandoners) and the app price. It shows the true net effect, not a marketing number.
Reading it right
A small number of abandoned checkouts after a removal is expected: those customers only wanted to buy with an ineligible discount. The ROI tells you whether the protected margin outweighs them, and for stores with real code abuse it typically does by a wide margin.
