The AddressHero extension speaks your customers' language automatically. Here is how the language logic works, and why what you see in the editor is not what customers see.
There is no manual language setting: the extension is always translated automatically to your shop language (per market, when you use Shopify Markets). Native translations are maintained for German, French, Italian and Portuguese plus English; other languages fall back to English.
The editor preview does not apply the live translation. English texts in the editor are normal; in your live store, customers see the translated texts. To verify, place a test order instead of judging by the preview.
Every customer-facing text can be adjusted under the Translations tab, found inside Address Validation settings in the app, per language. This is also the way to go if your store language has no native translation yet: enter your own wordings there.
Languages are managed by Shopify Markets: any language you add there can be served, either through our native translations or through your custom wordings in the Translations settings.
⚠️ One important limit: if your store runs more than 9 active languages, Shopify's checkout validation function limit is exceeded and the in-checkout validation stops working. See In-checkout validation explained.
