AddressHero works with any third-party system and logistics provider, because the correction happens directly on the Shopify order. There is one thing to get right: the timing.
The default order flow is: order created, order paid, order transmitted to your ERP or shipping tool. AddressHero changes it to: order created, order paid, address validated and corrected in Shopify (typically within 1 to 2 minutes), order transmitted with the corrected address.
If your system pulls orders the instant they are created and never re-syncs, it can catch the pre-correction address. Configure a small import delay or a status-based import so the transmission happens after the correction:
Import delay: even a few minutes is enough for the standard case.
Status-based: combine with the on-hold workflow, so orders with unresolved errors are not transmitted at all until released. See Customer emails and on-hold orders.
Shopify Flow: for full control, use a Shopify Flow that only releases orders for fulfillment after validation. Set Shopify's payment capture to manual (Settings > Payments) if your flow gates on capture. Contact us via support and we will share our ready-made Flow template and help you adapt it.
If the address is correct in Shopify but wrong in your ERP, another app is usually rewriting it after us: see House numbers and address line 2 for that diagnosis.
AddressHero connects to Picqer directly: enter your Picqer API key and your company name in the designated fields in the settings. Corrected addresses then flow into Picqer cleanly.
German carriers sort parcels automatically by assigning a routing code (Leitcode) from the address. That only works when the address has a valid street with house number, a postal code matching the city, and no typos. Unroutable addresses mean delays, returns and manual handling fees. AddressHero validates every order against these routing standards, which is exactly why transmitting the corrected address (not the raw input) to your logistics chain pays off.
