Merchants regularly ask what their customer sees in emails when AddressHero corrects an address after checkout. Here is the exact sequence.
Shopify sends the order confirmation immediately when the order is placed, BEFORE the post-checkout validation runs. So the confirmation email always shows the address the customer originally entered. That is expected and cannot be reordered: the validation is only triggered by the created order.
Shopify does not offer re-sending the order confirmation with the updated address, but you have two good options:
The customer can also always see the current (corrected) address on their order status page.
Shipping and fulfillment confirmations are sent by Shopify or your shipping tool (ShipStation, Sendcloud and others), not by AddressHero. AddressHero only validates and corrects the delivery address on the order. If shipping confirmations are missing or delayed, check the shipping tool's settings first; the address correction does not suppress them.
AddressHero's own notification emails do not appear in the Shopify order timeline, since they are sent by our system directly. The reliable way to verify the setup is a test order with an intentionally broken address and your own email address.
