Switching from AfterSell
We export and import your funnels, with a migration report.
Coming from AfterSell? You do not have to rebuild your funnels by hand. Our team exports your existing AfterSell funnels and imports them into Post Purchase Upsell Hero for you.
💡 In short: contact us, give us access to your store, and we migrate your funnels. You review them, activate them, and switch the post-purchase slot to Post Purchase Upsell Hero.
How the migration works
- You contact us via support and grant staff access to your store.
- We export all your AfterSell funnels with our migration tool. AfterSell has no export function of its own, which is why this step is done by us.
- We import them into Post Purchase Upsell Hero. Every imported funnel arrives inactive, so nothing goes live before you have checked it.
- You receive a migration report (PDF) that shows, funnel by funnel, what was carried over one-to-one, what was adapted, and what needs your attention.
- You review and activate the funnels in the funnel editor, then select Post Purchase Upsell Hero as your post-purchase app in Shopify. See Setup guide: from install to first funnel.

What needs your attention (the report lists it)
- Triggers that have no equivalent yet, for example customer tags, "once per customer", shipping method, or random sample. Removing a trigger makes the audience larger, so these are listed first.
- Triggers that only partially match, for example an order value "between" (only the lower limit is imported) or several languages (only the first).
- A/B tests are not imported. This app tests a funnel as a whole at the first offer, AfterSell tests per stage, so a test must be set up again in the editor. See A/B testing.
- Design (colors, fonts, spacing) is reset to our defaults, because the offer automatically follows your checkout branding here. See Colors, fonts and branding.
Good to know
- Imported funnels get a "(1)", "(2)" suffix if a funnel with the same name already exists, so nothing is overwritten.
- A funnel with an empty offer stage cannot be activated until you add a product to it.
- Shopify allows exactly one app in the post-purchase slot. Keep AfterSell selected until you are happy with the imported funnels, then switch.
