The discount is the strongest lever in a post-purchase offer. Post Purchase Upsell Hero gives you three ways to price an offer, all set per offer in the funnel editor.
💡 In short: choose a percentage or a fixed amount off, optionally staggered by quantity. Decimals are allowed.
1. Percentage off
Reduce the price of the upsell product by a percentage, for example 15 % or 12.5 %. Decimal values are supported, so you can match an existing campaign exactly.
2. Fixed amount off
Subtract a flat amount in your shop currency, for example 5 € off. Useful when you want the same absolute saving regardless of the product price.
3. Quantity tiers (volume discount)
Reward customers who take more than one unit. You set a discount for each quantity step:
| Customer adds | Your discount |
|---|---|
| 1 unit | e.g. 10 % |
| 2 units | e.g. 15 % |
| 3 units | e.g. 20 % |
| 4 or more units | e.g. 25 % (this tier applies to every larger quantity) |
Each tier can be a percentage or a fixed amount. The customer sees the matching price update live as they change the quantity on the offer.
Per-product discounts
If your offer contains two or more products, you can give each product its own discount instead of one discount for the whole offer.
Good to know
The discount is applied on top of the price the customer sees in your store. Discount codes from the original order are not re-evaluated for the upsell. See Discounts, free shipping and tracking pixels.
Next to the discount you can switch on Reimburse shipping fees. If the upsell takes the order over your free-shipping threshold, the shipping your customer already paid is credited on top. See Discounts, shipping and pixels.
The discounted price is fixed the moment the customer accepts, so a price change in your catalog seconds later does not affect what they pay.
Setting a percentage or fixed-amount discount to
0turns off the funnel discount. The customer pays the product's current selling price, unless you apply a stacked catalog discount. The offer does not show a compare-at price or saving label.Use A/B testing to test two discount levels against each other before committing.
