How billing works
What counts as a validated order on Pro, and what does not.
All AddressHero charges run through Shopify Billing and appear on your regular monthly Shopify invoice, in USD. No separate payment setup, no external invoice. Here is exactly how the amounts come about.
The core rule (Pro plan)
Pro is billed at $0.04 per validated order. Every order gets validated, so every order is billed, whether the address turns out right or wrong. There is deliberately no "pay per correction" model: the value of validation is the certainty on every order, and a per-error model would be unpredictable for both sides.
The Lite plan has no per-order fee, just the flat $9.99 per month. See Plan details: Lite and Pro.
What is NOT billed
- Orders without a shipping address: digital products, gift cards and similar orders that need no delivery address are not validated and not billed.
- Lite plan orders: no per-order fees at all.
What IS billed (frequently asked)
- Orders with a correct address (the validation ran and confirmed it).
- Recurring subscription orders (for example via Recharge): each order is a new order and gets validated.
- Orders from countries not in your country restriction setting: note that the country exclusion applies to the automatic correction, it does not exclude orders from validation. If you have a special constellation here, contact us via support and we will look at your setup.
The automatic spending limit
Every store has an automatic limit of $2,500 per month for AddressHero usage fees. A self-configurable stop limit below that does not exist today; if you want a hard cap for your store, talk to us.
Bulk imports and migrations
⚠️ Importing historical orders can trigger validation and billing if not handled correctly. Imports via Matrixify are excluded from validation by default. Before any other bulk import or store migration, read Before you import or migrate orders.
Something looks wrong on your bill?
Contact us via support with the billing period. If charges resulted from an import or a bug on our side, we refund, typically as Shopify app credits.
