You are migrating a store or importing historical orders into Shopify? Two minutes of reading here can save you real money.
AddressHero validates every newly created order with a shipping address, and on the Pro plan each validation is billed at $0.04. To Shopify, an imported historical order looks like a new order. Importing 40,000 old orders without precautions therefore means 40,000 validations, which is money spent on addresses you will never ship to again.
Imports via Matrixify are excluded from validation by default, so the most common migration tool is covered.
If you plan a bulk import via another tool or a custom script:
Contact us via support with the import date and order volume. Charges caused by a historical import are refunded, typically as Shopify app credits. We would much rather prevent the case, hence this article.
