Want to see at a glance which orders contain an upsell, or route them differently in your fulfillment tool? Let the app tag your orders automatically.
💡 In short: in Settings, define one or more Shopify order tags for accepted upsells, and optionally different tags for declined offers.
Open the app and go to Settings.
Under order tagging, enter the tags you want, for example upsell-accepted.
Optionally enter tags for declined offers, for example upsell-declined.
Switch tagging on and save.
From now on, every order where the customer accepts an upsell receives your accepted tags in Shopify. If you enabled decline tags, orders where the customer saw an offer and declined receive those tags.
Filter in Shopify: search orders by tag to see exactly which orders were upsold.
Fulfillment rules: many ERP and shipping tools can branch on order tags, for example to double-check picking for upsold orders.
Marketing: build customer segments or Shopify Flow automations based on the tag.
Tags are applied when the upsell is confirmed, so they appear on the final order together with the upsell item.
Turning tagging off keeps your tag list, so you can switch it back on later without re-entering anything.
Tags do not replace the Order Browser in the app, which shows the upsell status of every single order, including orders that got no offer. See Analytics explained.
For multi-step automations or calls to another system, use the app's dedicated Shopify Flow triggers instead of branching on tags. See Shopify Flow triggers for upsells.
